Accounts

Browsing Chrispy Slips does not require an account. Sign-in exists only for site administrators. If you never sign in, we hold no name, email, or account record for you.

Pageview analytics (first-party, consent-based)

If you allow analytics, we record a pageview on our own servers. Each record contains the page path, the referring URL if your browser sent one, any campaign tags in the URL, a coarse country/region supplied by our network provider, a device class (mobile, tablet, desktop), and a pseudonymous visitor identifier.

That identifier is a one-way hash of a server-side secret, the current date, your IP address, and your browser's user-agent string. We do not store your IP address or user-agent themselves. The hash changes every day, so we cannot follow a visitor across days. This is pseudonymous, not anonymous: someone holding the same secret, date, IP, and user-agent could reproduce the value.

If the server-side secret is not configured, the pageview is discarded rather than recorded with a weaker identifier.

Advertising

Advertising is currently disabled on this site, so no ad script runs for anyone. If we enable advertising in future, we would use Google AdSense, and the Google advertising script would still not be loaded and no ad request made unless you have allowed marketing/advertising cookies. We also send Google a consent signal (Google Consent Mode) that defaults to denied and is updated only when you grant consent. If you reject non-essential cookies, no Google advertising script runs.

When ads are enabled by your consent, Google may set cookies or use other browser storage under its own policies. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Ads never appear on the Help, sign-in, admin, or legal pages.

Feedback messages

If you send feedback, we store the name, email address, and message you type, and we email a copy to our own inbox so we can reply. Do not put sensitive information in that form.

Staff Slip email alerts

If you ask for Staff Slip email alerts, we store your email address and send a confirmation link — nothing is sent until you confirm. The address is used only to tell you when a new Staff Slip is posted, is never sold or shared for marketing, and every email carries a one-click unsubscribe that stops those emails immediately. Email and browser notifications are separate choices; turning one off leaves the other alone.

Push notifications

Notifications are strictly opt-in through your browser's permission prompt. If you subscribe, we store the push endpoint and keys your browser generates plus which alerts you asked for — Featured Line, market moves for a game, or new Staff Slips. Each is a separate opt-in: turning one on never turns another on. No account is needed, and you can turn any of them off from the same control. That subscription is what lets us deliver an alert; it is not used for advertising. The endpoint is specific to your browser, so treat it as information that can identify that browser. Revoking notification permission in your browser stops delivery, and the subscription becomes inert.

Browser storage and service worker

Your consent choice and small UI preferences are stored in your browser's local/session storage — not transmitted to us. A service worker is registered to support notification delivery and to open the right page when you tap an alert; it does not cache site content. See our Cookie Policy for the itemised list.

Who processes data for us

• • Google AdSense, only after advertising consent.
• • Our network provider, which supplies the coarse country/region signal.

We do not sell your data, and we do not run cross-site advertising profiles of our own.

Data sources shown on the site

Statistics, schedules, scores, odds, and weather shown on Chrispy Slips come from third-party data providers and public datasets, including nflverse for historical play and player statistics, and weather data by Open-Meteo.com (CC BY 4.0). Chrispy Slips is an independent research product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NFL, any member club, or any data provider.

Retention

We keep pageview records and feedback messages for as long as they are operationally useful. We have not implemented a fixed automatic deletion schedule, and we will not claim one here until we do.

Your choices

• • Change or withdraw consent any time on the Cookie Policy page.
• • Turn notifications off in your browser's site settings.
• • Ask us to delete feedback you sent, or ask what we hold, by emailing chrispyslips@gmail.com. Because analytics records are pseudonymous, we generally cannot link them back to you to delete them individually.

Children

Chrispy Slips is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
