Run-pass options and quarterback run threats that punish a defender for committing either way.
A run-pass option attaches a throw to a run play and lets the quarterback decide after the snap based on one defender. Adding a quarterback run threat forces the defense to defend one more gap than it has bodies for.
It adds designed and scramble rushing for quarterbacks and pulls the average throw shorter.
