Under center
The quarterback takes the snap directly from the center.
Taking the snap under center lets the quarterback turn his back to the defense and carry out a genuine run fake, and it gets the back to the line of scrimmage faster.
It costs pre-snap vision, which is why it is used mostly in the run game and on play action.
