Positions and roles
Head coach (HC)
The coach who runs the entire team, and sometimes calls a side of the ball himself.
The head coach runs the team: game management, situational calls, and the culture and structure everything else sits inside. Some head coaches also call the offense or the defense themselves rather than handing it to a coordinator.
When a head coach calls a side of the ball, that side normally carries his scheme identity wherever he goes.
