Passing concepts

Quick game (short concepts)

Three-step, get-it-out-fast throws that beat pressure and turn into run-after-catch.

Quick game is the short passing menu: slants, hitches, outs, quick screens and stick routes thrown on a three-step rhythm before the rush can arrive. The read is usually one defender, and the ball is out in under 2.5 seconds.

For props, a heavy quick-game offense inflates completions and receptions while capping yards per attempt — good for reception overs, tough on passing-yardage overs unless volume is huge.
