Vertical concepts
Deep route combinations — go, post, corner and deep dig — that attack behind the coverage.
Vertical concepts push routes past the safeties: four verticals, post-corner combinations and deep digs off a five- or seven-step drop. They need protection time and a quarterback willing to throw with anticipation into tight windows.
Vertical offenses produce fewer catches with much bigger ones, so receiving-yard props swing hard week to week even when target share stays flat.
