Play-action pass game

Pass concepts built off a convincing run fake so linebackers and safeties step the wrong way.

The play-action pass game attaches route concepts to the exact footwork and blocking of the offense's core runs. When the fake is believable, second-level defenders bite for a beat and the throwing windows behind them open wider than they ever do on a straight dropback.

Deep play action adds a bootleg or a deeper drop and takes shots off that same picture. Offenses built on wide zone or gap/power runs get the most out of it, and it lifts yards per attempt without adding attempts.
