How often a defense forces a quarterback off his spot — sacks, hits and hurries as a share of dropbacks.
Pressure rate counts sacks, quarterback hits and hurries as a share of dropbacks. It captures disruption that a sack total misses: a quarterback moved off his spot throws shorter, later and less accurately.
High pressure rates push passing yardage down and interceptions up, which is why it sits next to every quarterback prop on the site.
